Sherwood Pines Cycles would like you to meet Mr David Fletcher our professional cyclist.
The teams name: Sherwood Pines Cycles Felt, Enve.
As well as having a full programme of races himself this year he will be helping with the development of the junior team we have at the pines, David is currently training very hard for the upcoming season with the long term focus being the Olympics August 2016.
We wish him and all the team riders the best of luck for the upcoming season.
OK now the bike
The frame is a FELT FRD full carbon provided by Felt it’s a fast riding 29er frame but with a 71.5 degree head angle means it turns fast and tight.
The Wheels are Enve M60, light and super strong together with the Chris King hubs 72 tooth engagement means instant, positive pick up, the bars, stem and seatpost are taken care of by Enve are carbon, again super light and strong.
The front forks are Rockshox Sid XX light strong and silky smooth, these will have no problem taking whatever David can throw at them.
The brakes are Shimano XTR M9000 again light, powerful but very progressive.
The Drivetrain is the all new Shimarno XTR 11 speed. David has chosen a single ring set up at the front with a11-40 tooth rear cassette topped of with some XTR M9000 SPD’S.
Two of the Three contact points are taken care of by a Fizi:k Aliante seat and Enve wheels wrapped in Vredestein black panther xtrac tyres. David hasn’t chosen his grips and no front chainring yet, but the bike is looking stunning in its monochrome colours.
