The Time Trial scheduled for Wednesday 3rd July 2013 has been postponed.
The next Time Trial will be held on Wednesday 17th July.
Mervyn, the Time Trial organiser has had his shifts changed at work. We apologise for any inconvenience and we would like to thank Merv and his team of helpers who organise these nights on a completely voluntary basis. It is appreciated by Sherwood Pines Cycles as well as all the competitors, thanks Merv!

It’s that time of year again, concerts are here!
Blondie is playing on Friday night and Paloma Faith on Saturday. We hope you have got some tickets!
Owing to the concerts, the bike shop, cafe and the park will be closing early on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June. On both of these days closing time will be 3pm.
Normal hours will resume on Sunday 16th June.

The Dukeries Rally will be passing through the park on Saturday 8th.
We can’t hire bikes out and the trails are closed, but they are open as usual from Sunday 9th June.
The shop is open and so is the workshop, so you can come on down and see us!
Dry and very fast! There is some loose sand blowing about which can be a bit slippy – so be careful.

Riding conditions are drying out fairly well – there is the odd bit of snow and mud but mostly everything is rideable – and we should (fingers crossed) see a big improvement in conditions in the next few weeks as temperatures rise!
NPS route through the forest at the Pines this coming Saturday and Sunday. The course will be marshalled from 1200hrs on Saturday and 0830hrs Sunday The racing on Saturday starts at 3pm – Open and Fun Race – entrys accepted on the day. The racing Sunday starts at at 0930 with the Elite Females – One to watch is Team GB’s Annie Last …
The race course will cross / run alongside sections of the marked trails THE TRAILS ARE STILL OPEN The forest is very wet at present and I doubt will dry out much by the weekend so there will be some mucky racers about. FOREST ACCESS GATES SHUT AT 10PM FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT
Just to make things clear ALL TRAILS ARE OPEN The race route will cross the red, blue and green trails but these points will be marshalled, you might have to pause at these crossing points whilst racers go through but you shouldn’t be held up for more than a few minutes. The competitors have a separate car park to use Car parking charges still apply … Do take the opportunity to watch the racing and visit the arena area Gates shut at 10pm on Friday and Saturday night The race route will be marked up by Friday afternoon, if you are not competing please do not use it as racers will be training on it. There will be plenty of opportunity to use it after the event as it’ll be well travelled.
