Some good and some bad news, depending on who you are.
If last year you were making up all your time on the flat out fire road sections, this years course is going to put a spanner firmly in your works.
Tech is the watch word of this years course. Gone are the massive sections -

A new year sees the opening of a new timetrial course. For those of you hoping to be able to compare your times to last years course, im afraid the Forestry Commission saw fit to grub up a section and whitewash it with the new family xc route.

Last night saw the final time trial of the summer take place.
The plan - a mass race to the finish, elbows out, foot out, flat out.
Everything seemed to go fairly according to plan, except due to incomprehensible excuses for hand writing on some of the sign in sheets, i may have made up so -

Now am i the only one to notice a trend emerging on a Time Trial Wednesday? The trend being it pisses it down.. The wednesdays inbetween are fine, but the time trials are wetter than an otters pocket without fail.
