Some good and some bad news, depending on who you are.If last year you were making up all your time on the flat out fire road sections, this years course is going to put a spanner firmly in your works.
Tech is the watch word of this years course. Gone are the massive sections of fire road and family route and in is a 99% singletrack course.
Made up of sections of last years course and the 2007 course as well as some of the new Kitchener trail, its a far more demanding skillful course.
So those of you that have been out grinding in the miles, best get practicing on that muddy gloopy singletrack.

The 2009 timetrial season is virtually upon us.
Premilimary dates have been pencilled in as early April, so its time to get out and start putting some miles in, or you could just sit on a turbo like that guy.
Were looking at making some changes to the course and making it slightly more technical. So we'd like to hear your ideas of where it should go, keeping roughly in the area of the old course.

...not with our in house cameraman behind the lens it wouldnt have...On wednesday our resident Spielberg took the night off from mooching around in the bushes at local notorious dogging hotspots to come and film you guys doing a different type of riding.
I think you'll agree the footage bears an uncanny resemblance to the famous Sasquatch footage of '67 (availablehere as a comparison) I think you'll see the similarities are plain to see - the shaky camera work, the mere fleeting glimpes through the trees of the subject matter..
Perhaps this was aimed at being a parody of said video, but somehow i think its all just a cruel coincidence.
Anyway heres our version of the bigfoot sightings of '67, or something..

Firstly a big thankyou to everyone who made the shop floor look like a pond come Thursday morning. I spent 3 hrs cleaning that floor on Thursday - cheers guys...A sodden wet night greeted all those brave enough to come to Wednesdays guided tour of the forest courtesy of young David Fletcher.
I'm not sure how far he took everyone as I was busy eating Bourbons while you were all out, but if anyone would like to email me some info or a little "report" feel free and i'll post it up.
Merv was heard to say "I've never been so wet in my life" - not one for bathing then Merv?
