Your club needs you...
Wednesday, February 11, 2009, 10:28 AM - Events

We've been contacted by James the organiser of the Midlands XC races and he's looking for the club to get involved.

Whats he's looking for is some volunteers to a: man an easyup at the race start/finish and promote the club, b: help mark the course out, design the route etc. with a bit of local knowledge.

Anyone willing to lend a hand should drop us an email or speak to someone at the shop.

Wharncliffe follow up
Wednesday, September 3, 2008, 03:56 PM - Events
Yes i know its taken a while, but i've been on holiday, alright!

Firstly a big thanks to all the interpid members who went to a rather slippery Sheffield last month. It was a hectic couple of hours of us versus the elements and rapidly fading light. But in true downhiller fashion I had everyone riding down and pushing rapidly back up to make the most of what light we had.

The tracks were either rocky, slippery or muddy and in some places the rocks were slippery and muddy giving the best (or worst) of all three worlds.

Crash of the day has to go to Martin Hogg whom on cue of 'i bet someone comes off here' went straight over the bars to the lovely creaking/groaning noise of carbon. Luckily it wasnt his frame...

There were lots of crashes, myself included with a lovely over the bars in a rock garden episode.

Kamikaze as he should be known hit absolutely everything seemingly without fear, despite a couple of crashes that drew blood, riding as though he was astride a 8" travel downhill plough and not mere XC bike.
