In repsonse to the question below of how much experience is needed for the DH day, it depends. You see when it comes to downhilling theres a direct corelation between the amount of travel you have and the amount of skill needed.
As travel increases so the amount of skill decreases as detailed in the graph below.
As we can see the amount of skill needed reduces proportionately with the amount of rear wheel travel available.
So in conclusion a decent amount of bike handling skill is advisable and a bike that can withstand some hammer is also a bonus. But if you feel pretty confident and dont mind going last so as to not piss off the 'proper' downhillers as you bounce your way down come along.
If youve got more than 6" of travel, you'll be fine no matter what your skill level is, jus be prepared to fall off a lot.

We are intending on running a club group downhill uplift day early next year at Bringewood nr Ludlow in Shropshire. Cost is £17 per person for the day, from 11 - 4. You will have to make your own way there, but I figure we can convoy it. All those interested please come see Jamie in the shop to put your name down. A full non refundable deposit of £17 will be required so I can get the spaces booked.
It'll be a fantastic and most likely very humourous day of crashing and possibly bike skill improving.
