Firstly a big thankyou to everyone who made the shop floor look like a pond come Thursday morning. I spent 3 hrs cleaning that floor on Thursday - cheers guys...A sodden wet night greeted all those brave enough to come to Wednesdays guided tour of the forest courtesy of young David Fletcher.
I'm not sure how far he took everyone as I was busy eating Bourbons while you were all out, but if anyone would like to email me some info or a little "report" feel free and i'll post it up.
Merv was heard to say "I've never been so wet in my life" - not one for bathing then Merv?

A perfect spring evening greeted all those who attended last nights inaugural Sherwood Pines - Polaris time trial here at Sherwood Pines. The sun was out and the track conditions were dry, but the course wasn't a dust bowl and offered a decent amount of grip.
In a break from previous years, we have decided to leave the motorwayesque fireroad slog time trials behind us and opt for a more technical mix of singletrack and a smattering of fireroads for the new season.
Starting with a straight sprint along a stretch of fireroad before scooting off into a dark piece of lovely claustrophobic singletrack, and away into the forest.
Turnout was good considering this is a new venture, and all riders were seen with smiles on their faces once the race was over - during the race was another question, so many people, as the photos will testify had their "game faces" on, determined to eat as much time out or Mr. Craig as possible, and it was only supposed to be "all just a bit of fun"...
Good to see the young'uns out riding, but where were the mums? A distinct lack of lady entrants.
Oh and on the subject of no shows where were those that had promised so much, but delivered so little - reps im talking about you..Neil, Tim, Simon - you know who you are, we await excuses on your next visit. FYI Jimmy Finch from Merida did make the effort and subsequently '0wn3d' the reps class beating nobody else by a good 2 weeks.
Specials thanks to Scott Bikes for lending us their tame racer Nick Craig for the evening who proceeded to lay down the time to beat for the rest of the year - Mick.. Sadly it seemed that no one seized the moment to collar him for some shaving advice - an opportunity missed I feel.
