David Fletcher – Race Report

19th November – Boston Wheelers

This weekend I decided to compete in the Lincs CX League.

With better competition forecast I chose to ride there to get a better quality of race in.
The course was fast and seemed a blistering pace from start to finish. The front group contained 5 of us.

Lap by lap went by and it came down to 3, it took 4 laps to split and that was only 200 meters from the line.

I had to chose my time to perfection. With the pace being so high it was hard to get away and chose the last corner to make my move, it was be into it first and win or into it 2nd and not.

Fortunately I got it right and sprinted across the line in 1st place.

Another win to my growing tally. I played my cards safe and used then when it counted. Beating the likes of british road pro riders Connor Swift and Graham Briggs. It was a good feeling and another add to the confidence pot.

Up next comes a new venue for me in Gravesend for the next national trophy.
