In short, I was gutted for Our Marc not being able to race, but very lucky to have new Pines Cycles Team rider Nick Wood happy to step in.

Heavy rain before the race then made the 13.5 km course slippery.

The rain started again bang on the 12 o’clock start and continued sometimes heavy for the next 12 hours.

We decided on 2 lap stints and managed to bag 3rd place in a very competitive 12hour male pairs class, 19 mins off 1st place.

Massive thanks to Sherwood Pines Cycles for all their help and support and mechanic Dale for the new wheel build.
