Marc Gee – Thetford Winter Series – Sunday 12th February 2017

After a cold and miserable start to the day we set off for the last round of the Thetford Winter Series.

We arrived at 8:30 as the sky cleared.

After a sighting lap of the fast and flowing single track lap I pumped my tyres up and got ready for the race.

It was a fast, straight 500 metre fire road start and straight into the single track.

I led the race for the first lap with second place directly on my back wheel. It was a fast first lap

I followed second place on the second lap before I led for the third lap.

On the last lap second place overtook and I could not respond fast enough to stay on his wheel.

I finished in second place and won the overall series.

A fantastic course, friendly event and I will be returning next year to defend my title.
