William Gascoyne – one of the rising stars of cycling.

The phrase rising star is often used too freely, we know that it is true when it comes to Will.

William competed at the British Cycling National Trophy Series Round Five at Peel Park, Bradford on Sunday 13th December 2015. He finished second in his age category, Junior Male.

Below is a race report written by Will:

I wasn’t expecting anything special at Bradford as it was off the back of a hard days training camp on the Saturday where I had been battling the elements at a trail centre in Sheffield.

When I got into the race however I found I was feeling pretty good.

I worked my way up to the second placed rider with in the first few laps. I felt we were pretty evenly matched, I was making small gaps on him on the descents but he kept coming back on the running.

In the final lap I managed to get away held it to finish second.
